Did you know that 10 million homes in the United States are remodeled each year? While kitchens are the most popular type of remodel project, bathrooms are not far behind! If you’re planning a bathroom remodel or just want to refresh the space you have, I have put together a list of some of the top trends according to interior designers to help you get some bathroom remodel ideas.
As always, don’t feel like you have to follow these trends – it’s your house, decorate it how you want!
Overall, home décor trends in 2025 are focused on creating stylish yet functional spaces using sustainable materials. Overconsumption is out! I also love that more home decorators are embracing individuality over following trends to the letter.
So, here they are – the top 10 Bathroom Trends in 2025
1. Spa-Like Retreats
At this point, I think a spa-like bathroom is no longer a “trend” it’s more of staple in home décor. Investing in luxurious features like steam showers and deep soaking tubs gives you the chance to practice some relaxing self-care.
2. Stone Surfaces
Using beautiful stone pieces like marble, onyx, and quartzite is one of the biggest bathroom trends in 2025. Veined patterns and dramatic color contrasts are being used for countertops, walls, and even sinks, creating a striking and luxurious look.
3. Smart Technology
Bathrooms aren’t just for looks, and more homeowners are looking to include tech-savvy features in the bathroom. Some of the most popular smart technologies to add to your bathroom remodel are smart lighting, touchless faucets, and smart mirrors with integrated displays. These features are really impressive to a simple, not-tech-savvy girl like myself – I can’t wait to see where technology takes us in the future!
4. Sustainable Fixtures and Materials
We love to see it – sustainable fixtures and materials are trending all over the home! Recycled and repurposed materials are a great way to save money and resources in the bathroom. It’s also a great idea to prioritize low-VOC paints and water-saving fixtures if possible.
5. Warm and Inviting Colors
The stark whites and grays of previous years have been replaced by earthy tones and warm neutrals. Shades like terracotta, sage green, and taupe used for flooring, tile, and paint colors, add depth and warmth to bathroom spaces.
6. Clawfoot Tubs
Freestanding bathtubs remain one of the top bathroom trends in 2025, but clawfoot tubs, specifically, are highly sought after. A clawfoot tub can be the focal point of the bathroom design, giving it a trendy, vintage look.
7. Textured Walls and Ceilings
Designers recommend using texture to make your bathroom look more interesting. To do this you can add wallpaper or tile to the walls. If you’re feeling bold, you can paint the ceiling – it will instantly elevate the look of the bathroom!
8. Sleek Accents
Sleek, modern fixtures and hardware are being used to contrast the softer, lighter color palettes. Matte black finishes for faucets, towel bars, and showerheads are particularly popular and are an easy way to update your bathroom.
9. Natural Elements
Including decorative pieces in your bathroom that are made of organic materials like wood, bamboo, and stone creates a serene and inviting environment. If you can, add a houseplant to bring a touch of nature into the bathroom
10. Creative Storage Solutions
Features like built-in shelving, recessed niches, and vanity drawers with organizers keep your makeup and hair products out of sight while maximizing space. This is especially true if your bathroom is on the small side.

We love smart lighting in our bathroom. It’s a game-changer in the mornings. I prefer starting the say with softer dim light, vs. bright lights when you first wake in the morning.
